Sylvester Henry Wambuga

Sylvester is a distinguished Corporate and Commercial Department practitioner with extensive experience advising on high profile national, regional and international corporate mergers, joint ventures, equity management, shareholder arrangements, takeovers, acquisitions and disposals throughout East Africa. His powerful advocacy has earned him an impressive record of successful representation before Uganda’s High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.

He holds a Masters in Law from Makerere University specializing in insolvency, a Bachelor of Laws Degree from Makerere University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre in Kampala. He is an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda; a member of the Uganda Law Society and the East African Law Society. Sylvester is currently the Assistant Director Law Development Centre, Mbale Branch.

Isaac Bakayana

Isaac brings formidable expertise to the banking and finance sector delivering strategic legal advisory services and vigorous litigation representation in complex fraud cases for premier financial institutions and investment companies across East Africa. His exemplary litigation practice spans the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court and the East African Court of Justice, establishing him as a versatile and authoritative legal voice in the region.

As both a Commissioner for Oaths and a Notary Public. Isaac holds a Master’s degree in Law from the prestigious University of Warwick complemented by a Bachelor of Laws Degree from Makerere University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre in Kampala. His credentials as an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda enhanced by memberships in the Uganda Law Society, the East Africa Law Society and the International Bar Association. Isaac further enriches the legal community through his role as a lecturer at the Makerere University School of Law.

Robert Bautu

Robert has provided advisory services on transactions for oil and gas production and mineral development both in Uganda and the region. With a distinguished litigation record, Robert has successfully represented clients in complex cases involving tax disputes, bank fraud and insolvency matters.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from Makerere University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre in Kampala. He is an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda and maintains active memberships in Uganda Law Society, the East Africa Law Society and the International Bar Association.

Paul Kuteesa

Paul is a highly experienced litigation and transactional lawyer, he has successfully handled numerous land and commercial transactions involving some of the largest investments. Paul brings specialized expertise as a trained and certified advisor to pension schemes, having participated in establishing, advising and managing a multi-billion-shilling member contributory scheme in Uganda. He has developed extensive expertise in complex tax advisory and litigation, telecommunication and corporate advisory services, and regulation within the mining industry.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from Makerere University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre in Kampala. He is an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda and maintains active memberships in both the Uganda Law Society and the East Africa Law Society.

Hezlee Kihembo

Hezlee Kihembo is a Legal Associate in the Banking and Finance Department, with a diverse practice that spans banking and finance, corporate and commercial law, and taxation.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Uganda Christian University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre. An Advocate of the High Court of Uganda and all subordinate courts, Hezlee is a member of both the Uganda Law Society and the East Africa Law Society. She also holds a Diploma in Taxation from the East African School of Taxation, equipping her with valuable expertise in advising clients on complex banking, financial, corporate and commercial matters. Juliet holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from Uganda Christian University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre. Further enhancing her expertise, she holds a Diploma in Taxation from the East African School of Taxation.
